In August we had 2 Gradings, one at Miami and one at Tweed, as well as our first ever Inter-Club Sparring day!

Urban Tweed – Yellow Singlet Grading

What an impressive show of skill and determination for our Yellow singlets down at Tweed! We’ve only opened the Tweed location 8 months ago, and due to the impressive work of our Head Trainer and Manager, Leonie, and the entire team of over 100 members, we were able to reward 18 students with a bright new singlet for their dedication to the sport. Also, two of the 18 students received Blue singlets and are quickly chasing that Green… who will get there first?

Well done to all our newly promoted Yellow and Blue Singlets!!

Urban Inter-club Sparring

Now that we finally have two gyms, we can spar each other!! This was the first of many Inter-club sparring events we hope to hold, where both gyms can come together, practice their skills in a fun environment, and then have a chat over a beer or sausage (or both) at the end. Everyone worked well together and had a great afternoon.
