The Smell of Thai Oil, the crack of the pads as fighters warm up ready to go to battle!  What an awesome atmosphere – nothing beats cheering on ya mates”

On Saturday night we had 3 of our Urban Fight Team appearing on the impressive Eruption 17 fight card.  This is one of Queensland’s biggest shows, which host a pro only card of Full Thai Rules Bouts.  Our #urbanarmy was out in full force with a massive 70 supporters there to cheer on the team.

Adrian was up first; he fought a technically sound fight as usual, dropping his opponent in the 3rd round with a precise elbow strike, but he wasn’t quite busy enough to take the win, loosing by Split-points Decision with a “Granite” chin. It was an exciting fight that had the crowd going wild!

Our young 18 year-old Britney fought next, with a huge 28 fights under her belt. After having 12 months off to focus on her final year of school, this was her first fight back up against a very strong up-and-coming fighter. She displayed strong composure, winning each round with well-timed counter strikes and strong forward movement. It was a beautiful win with great style, technique and power.

Nick was up against a good opponent in what was shaping up to be one awesome fight, until the doctor stopped the fight after Nick sustained a very nasty cut to the forehead which required a quick trip to the hospital for 13 stitches. We wish Nick a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see him back in the ring soon.

All up it was a great night of fights on Eruption; big thanks to Eruption Muay Thai  for having us on yet another fantastic show and a massive thanks to all those that came and supported – this is what makes our family what it is – amazing support for our fight team representing their #urbanarmy.
